About namesprout
Last updated: 2026-09-01
namesprout makes one thing: clothes with a child's name on them, printed one at a time, after you order.
No warehouse full of guesses about which names are popular. You type the name, we make that garment, and it ships to you.
Why the name comes first
Most personalised clothing treats the name as something added at the end — a small line under a design that was already finished. We start from the opposite side. The name is the design, so it gets the whole front of the garment and a lettering style chosen to suit it.
It is also why there is a live preview rather than a form. You should see the actual name, at the actual size, before you decide anything.
Made after you order
Every garment is printed to order through a print network with facilities in Europe and North America, so your order is usually made on the same continent it ships to. Nothing is made in advance, which means nothing is thrown away unsold.
The practical trade-off is honest: made-to-order takes a couple of days longer than picking a box off a shelf. See the shipping page for what that means in days.
What we sell, plainly
A short-sleeve cotton baby bodysuit — the garment most people call a onesie — and a kids crewneck t-shirt. Both in a handful of colours, both printed on the front with the name.
That is the whole catalogue today. We would rather do one thing properly than list a hundred things we have never held.
What we are not
We do not print photographs, and we do not do custom artwork or logos. If you need a picture of the child on the garment, we are the wrong shop and will say so rather than take the order.
The lettering styles are ours and they are deliberately few. Every one of them has been tested with real names — including the long ones, and the ones with å, ä and ö.
Who you are buying from
namesprout is run by Samuel Young Digital AB, a small registered company in Stockholm, Sweden. The full company details are in our terms and at the bottom of every page — not because it makes for interesting reading, but because you should be able to see who is behind a shop before you pay it.
A real person reads support@namesprout.co. If something arrives wrong, say so and we will fix it.
